Let humans sell to humans, just make sure that they are talking about you.
People buy from people, not from brands.
This is very common saying in the indie hacker world and people who do marketing.
For this very reason is why concepts such as influencer partnerships and marketing have grown in popularity over the last couple of years.
But even before influencers showed us the new hot thing in town, there was the good old word of mouth.
Your friend, family member or an acquaintance directing you to the best place to get a certain item or giving you first hand insider information as to why you should buy whatever it is that they had just bought or had heard of from someone else who had also given them said insider info.
It is easier to buy when the product is recommended by a fellow human being, especially when the said human being is someone that you know and have interacted with.
So how do you make this work for your online tool, website, startup or small business?
Testimonials from real human beings.
If people love your product but they are not yet talking about it in public or even posting about it, go ahead and ask a few people to give a you a review.
Screenshot it and put it on your website or social media as social proof. It will make customer/user acquisition a lot easier.
There are various tools as well that can help with this.
Let humans sell to humans, just make sure that they are talking about you.
